Aurela by Well with Brielle
Last updated: August 2, 2026
The short version: Aurela is built to keep your reflections private.
Without an account, your journal, rituals, mood history, Stars information and progress stay in the app's storage on that device. Creating an account turns on backup and syncing, and that content is then stored with your account so it follows you to any device you sign into.
We do not sell your personal information or use your synced content for advertising. We do not run ads, and we use no third party analytics or advertising trackers.
This Privacy Policy works alongside our Terms of Service.
You can use Aurela without creating an account. Your journal, rituals, mood history, Stars information, progress and other personal app content are saved in the browser or app storage on that device. That content does not sync to an Aurela account.
If you clear the app's data, use a different device or delete the app, we cannot restore that locally stored content for you.
Aurela may still receive the usage analytics described below, and anything you choose to send through the feedback feature.
Creating an account turns on backup and syncing, so your progress follows you to any device you sign into. To do that, your information is stored with your Aurela account on our backend so Aurela can back it up and sync it across your devices. We do not sell your personal information or use your synced content for advertising.
What syncs when you are signed in:
Some things are never sent to us, whether or not you have an account. The Body trackers are all local: your water count, your skincare routine, your movement log, your daily plate, your low-tox swaps, and your cycle tracker. So are your moderation choices — anyone you have blocked, any post you have hidden, and any report you have filed — and any notes you leave on a challenge.
If you clear the app's data, use a different device or delete the app, those are not something we can restore for you, because we never had them.
Health access is optional and read only. If you allow it, Aurela can read recent sleep, steps, workouts, water and mindful minutes so you do not have to log them twice. Aurela never writes anything back to Health, and imported days never earn points or affect a streak.
Once imported, those days become part of your Aurela history. If you have an account, that history syncs like everything else, which means your Aurela copy of that information is stored in your account. Declining Health access leaves the rest of the app working normally.
Aurela records which parts of the app get used, so we can tell what is working. An event is a short record such as "a ritual was completed" or "the premium screen was opened", with a small amount of detail such as which of the four areas it belonged to.
These events are stored without any identifier. We do not store a name, an email, an account, a device id or any other marker alongside them, so we have no way of connecting a stored event back to you or to anyone else. They tell us how many, never who.
Events never contain what you wrote. There is no path in the app that can send journal text, a reflection note, a prompt answer, your name, your email or a photo into analytics.
Aurela also records a short technical note when something in the app goes wrong, holding the file and line where it happened. This carries no identifier either.
We use no third party analytics or advertising trackers.
If you choose to send feedback, your message, any rating, and the email address you give us are stored so we can read and reply. If you are signed in when you send it, your feedback is linked to your account so we can follow up properly. Sending feedback is always your choice. Please do not include sensitive personal information in feedback.
The free Aurela experience is usable without an account. If you'd like your progress backed up and synced across devices, you can create a free account:
When you unlock Premium, Aurela stores that your account has Premium access and how that access was granted. This lets Aurela recognize your Premium access when you sign in on another device.
Aurela does not currently collect or store payment card or bank account information.
We use service providers to run Aurela:
These services process information as needed to provide their services. Their handling of information is also governed by their applicable privacy terms.
To show the latest posts from the "From the Blog" sections, the app loads content from wellwithbrielle.com. Opening one of those links takes you to our website in your browser, which has its own privacy practices.
Aurela is intended for adults. Our Terms of Service require you to be 18 or older to create an account, make a purchase, or post in the community, and the App is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us using the details below and we will delete it.
You can delete your account in Aurela at Profile → Settings → Account. Deleting removes your account and the information stored with it, including your journal, reflections, birth details, profile, history, progress and any feedback you sent while signed in. This is a deletion, not a deactivation, and it cannot be undone.
Usage analytics are the one exception, and only because they are not connected to you. Since those events carry no identifier, there is nothing in them to find and remove, and they remain as part of our overall totals.
Without an account, your content is held in your device's own storage and protected by your device's security. With an account, your synced content is stored with your account and only reachable by you. Everything sent between the app and us travels over an encrypted connection.
If we update this policy, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
